A day at Barcamp Pune4

i attended the barcamp for second time. This time it was organized in thoughtworks company, pune. First time i had attended in IIT Powai, mumbai.

On 16th Feb, 2008, I left home at 6.15 am but it took too much time to reach at the spot. and this time i was not only the attendee but was also the speaker at the camp and my topic was "How to create open source IVR using RAGI". I reached at 10 am and the program was already started. Morning slot for speakers was full :(. Only 2 slots were remaining, and . So i got last slot.

Normally people attend starting sessions and after lunch almost many of them left the camp. So i was thinking that whether any people will be present till my session. But guess wat?? people attended my session and i felt very happy for it :). I was having only 30 minutes :( and for first time i was going to speak at such event. But every thing went fine, many of them asked questions and hopefully i was able to answer it. I also made few friends.

In short it was an amazing camp and i have enjoyed a lot. Many people asked me for my presentation. Click here to download it (not uploaded). Many thanks to people who attended my session. Also i request the attendees to provide me their email id. Hope i will receive your mail very soon. :)

BarCamp held at mumbai

Hi all,

First time i attended the barcamp and i found it very interesting. But what all things i faced on that day.Me and my friend reached there at 9.30, we thought we are late, :D but the registration process was still going on and you know what they told us that our name is not present in the registration list. :( but we have already registered here

http://www.osscamp.in/index.php?title=Mysqlcampmumbai
then we had little argument on it. But volunteers were so nice that they allowed us. But then the question arise:
Why there was 2 different lists for registration??
1) http://www.osscamp.in/index.php?title=Mysqlcampmumbai
2) http://www.barcamp.org/BarCampMumbai2

So what i want to say plz maintain the single list so that no one like us will get confused...
After 11am sessions started, it was very good. The sessions which i liked most was:
  1. Bootstrapping by Ankesh Kothari
  2. Hacking by Rohit Srivastwa
SAN, DAS session by Bhavin Turakhia was also very informative but we missed the start because the session timings was overlapping and we have to rush for it.
i did not found 1-2 sessions that much interesting.....
Management was also very nice and everyone there was so cooperative.

In short Barcamp was very informative!!! :)

Thanks to Barcamp...
i am definitely going to attend the next barcamp at mumbai ... :)
